We offer three different Sparklist Discussion Groups hosting packages, with the following specifications:
|
In addition, all Sparklist Discussion Groups packages allow a maximum of 2,000 members per list.
Message Volume: Quantity and Size
In Sparklist terms, message volume is a factor of both the actual number of messages you send, and the average size (in kilobytes) of those messages over a one-month period.
Sparklist Discussion Groups package prices include a specified number of messages at a minimum monthly average message size of 10kb. If your total message volume exceeds this amount during a particular montheither due to message quantity or size, or bothyour total bill for that month will be higher than your package's minimum monthy fee.
If your monthly message volume exceeds the amount included in your package, you will be charged for the extra mail at the effective overage "cost per thousand" (CPM) of your package. Overage rates for Sparklist Discussion Groups packages are listed in the table above.
Rates for messages averaging more than 10kb follow a sliding scale based on the effective CPM in calculated increments. For example, messages with an average monthly size of 20kb sent with a Sparklist Discussion Groups Plus are charged at $2.00 per thousand instead of $1.00 per thousand; if the monthly size were 50kb, the charge would be $5.00 per thousand.
Administrative messages (such as subscribes, unsubscribes, and "Welcome" messages) are included at no charge. Messages sent to list members in the "digest" format count as one message each, though the size of such mail will be more or less the same as the component messages combined.
Note that the prices above are subject to change at Sparklist's discretion, subject to the terms of service.

Sparklist accepts all major credit cards, wire transfers, checks, and money orders. For Sparklist Discussion Groups Basic packages, we require credit card payment. For Plus and Pro packages, we accept purchase orders from North America organizations and credit cards.
Invoices
For all payment types, we email you an invoice each month that details your usage and costs for that period, including any monthly minimum fees that apply. We email these invoices within the first week of the month. Please note that we do not send invoices by postal mail.
If your account is by credit card, we charge your card automatically each month. Payment for purchase order accounts is due within 30 days of the invoice date. Please also note that set-up fees are non-refundable.
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: You are responsible for your minimum monthly fees each month. By purchasing a Sparklist email list hosting package, you agree to pay the minimum monthly fee even if you have no mailing activity during a particular month. Please note that all packages have a six month minimum contract.
Contracts
At Sparklist, we're committed to longer-term relationships instead of one-off email blasts. We require six month minimum contracts for all packages. This policy enables us to work closely with you to set up your email list, thereby enhancing your experience and the success of your email program.
